ICYMI: AFP Kicks Off Energy Permitting Reform Tour in Pennsylvania’s ‘Energy Capital’
PROSPERITY, PA – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) kicked off its cross-country tour promoting energy project permitting reform in Southwestern Pennsylvania on Monday, highlighting the importance of the state’s natural resources in creating American energy abundance.
“The Road to Prosperity” tour brought AFP staff and activists to the Enlow Fork Coal Mine in Prosperity, PA – the state’s “energy capital” – where they saw firsthand how outdated regulations are stalling America’s competitiveness in the Artificial Intelligence economy and other future-winning technologies.
Emily Greene, AFP-Pennsylvania state director, gave the following statement:
“Pennsylvania is blessed to have abundant natural resources that can help propel American into global energy leadership. We’re calling on Congress to prioritize permitting reform this year so that Pennsylvania and all 50 states can take on new and innovative energy projects that will power the future.”
Photos from the event:
AFP will continue to hold rallies and events, including many at local energy project sites that have been hit with delays as a result of red tape, to drive support for reform in Washington.
