HARRISBURG, PA – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) responded to Governor Josh Shapiro’s reelection campaign announcement on Thursday, highlighting his record of failed progressive policies that are hurting Pennsylvania taxpayers.

Emily Greene Brey, AFP-PA state director, gave the following statement:

“Pennsylvanians can’t afford four more years of Gov. Shapiro’s progressive agenda. From his irresponsible state budgets to his burdensome energy regulations that crush economic growth, Shapiro’s push to grow the government is making a real dent in taxpayers’ wallets.

“While Shapiro is busy promoting his book tour and auditioning for higher office, AFP-PA will be working tirelessly this legislative session to push forward commonsense solutions that grow opportunity and prosperity in the Keystone State.”
